Upcoming Films (as of 12/98) According to Variety: According to The HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, Greg Kinnear (As Good As It Gets, Talk Soup) is in talks (US magazine reported that Greg has committed to this project) to co-star with Denzel Washington in LAZARUS AND THE HURRICANE, Norman Jewison (Jesus Christ Superstar, Only You)'s next film, which is based on the life story of 1960s middleweight boxer Rubin "Hurricane" Carter, who was wrongly convicted of killing three men. .................Greg has signed to join the cast of Mystery Men, a project that has been in development hell for some time now. The movie is based on the Dark Horse comic of the same name that follows the adventures of a bunch of self-proclaimed super heroes. Greg is supposed to be playing the only real super hero of the bunch. The comedy will be directed by Kinka Usher (his first feature project) for Universal Studios. Also in the cast are William H. Macy, Paul Reubens, Geoffrey Rush, Clair Forlani, Jeneane Garafalo, Lena Olin, Oliver Platt, Hank Azaria and Ben Stiller. Filming is to start later this month (October) in LA through January 1999. No month has been given for its expected release later that year. |
